St. John the Baptist 8, St. Dominic 2: St. John the Baptist clinched first place in the NSCHSAA and a first round bye in the NSCHSAA playoffs with the win Friday. Sofia Evangelista threw a five-hitter and struck out 12. Liz Antonucci went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two stolen bases. The Cougars (12-2) will face the winner of St. Dominic/Holy Trinity in the semi-finals of the NSCHSAA playoffs on May 18 at 11am.
