Syosset vs East Meadow

East Meadow 8, Syosset 0: Kerri Shapiro went 3-for-3, with a solo homer, two doubles, three RBIs and two runs for No. 1 East Meadow (12-7) in a Nassau Class AA quarterfinal win over No. 9 Syosset (15-6). Shapiro pitched a one-hit shutout, striking out 18 and walking three. Marisa SanAntonio went 1-for-1, with a single, two walks and three runs. Liz Jacobsohn went 1-for-2, with a bunt single in the top of the sixth, and added a walk for the Braves.
