HIGHLIGHTS
Massapequa 3, East Meadow 0: Hope Breslin scored the first two goals for the chiefs to lead No. 1 Massapequa (14-1-1) over No. 4 East Meadow (5-8-4) in the Nassau Class AA semifinals at Tully Park in New Hyde Park. Katie Hatziyianis recorded her eleventh shutout of the season. With three minutes remaining in the first half, Alyssa Ianuzzi doled out a cross-pass to Breslin, who attempted a header in the net, but it deflected off of the goalie. Breslin rebounded the ball and finished off the play with a shot into the left corner of the net, giving Massapequa a 1-0 lead. Massapequa will play either No. 2 Calhoun or No. 3 MacArthur on Tuesday at Tully Park in the finals.
