HIGHLIGHTS
WARD MELVILLE 16, WEST GENESEE 4. Ward Melville won its first state Class A title since 2000 with a dominant performance at St. John Fisher College near Rochester. Brendan Hegarty scored four goals plus an assist, Jake Kepes had three goals and two assists, Christian Mazzone had two goals and three assists and Jack Bruckner contributed two goals and two assists for the Patriots (22-0) who also were ranked No. 1 in the country. West Genesee finished 15-6.
