HIGHLIGHTS
Glen Cove 26, South Side 7: Tim Hogan had eight carries for 70 yards and two touchdowns to lead Glen Cove in its Conference III opener. Hogan's 35-yard touchdown run with 10 minutes remaining came after a Manny Sican fumble recovery and put the game away. Will Beglin had 68 yards rushing on 10 carries and also caught a pass for 32 yards. Glen Cove ran for 247 yards as a team. Quarterback David Perkins ran for 89 yards and a touchdown and also threw for 63 yards. Sean Peet had an interception that set up Howard Woods five-yard touchdown run that made the score 26-0. Chris Lent led the receiving corp with 36-yars on four catches.
