HIGHLIGHTS
Kyle Fleitman rushed for 248 yards and 3 touchdowns as East Islip (9-2) upset previously undefeated Sayville (10-1) in the Suffolk III final, 42-35. Justin Taveras had 139 yards and two scores on 16 carries for the Redmen. Fleitman also completed five of 13 passes for 118 yards and a touchdown. Jack Coan completed 20 of 33 passes for two touchdowns for Sayville. He also rushed for 108 yards and a score on 14 carries. Coan ended his brilliant career as Long Island's all-time passing leader in yards (9,795) and touchdown passes (128). East Islip advanced to the Long Island Class III final next Friday against the Wantagh/Roosevelt winner.
