West Hempstead 42, Cold Spring Harbor 13: Bruce Gibbs returned the opening kickoff 91 yards for a touchdown and added a 15-yard TD run on the next possession as West Hempstead (3-0) jumped out to a 28-0 first quarter lead on Cold Spring Harbor (0-3) in Nassau IV. Enrique McFarlane, who had 104 rushing yards on three carries, had touchdown runs of 6 and 58 yards to cap the scoring in the first. Anthony Beaubrun connected with Gibbs for a 25 yard touchdown pass in the second quarter.
