Long Island Lutheran 51, Good Counsel (Md.) 50: Taylor Byrne hit a free throw with 13 seconds left to win it for Lutheran (11-2) in the Mecca Tournament at Gauchos Gym in the Bronx. Boogie Brozoski had scored off a pass from Nani Redford to give the Crusaders a 50-48 lead with 52 seconds left, but Good Counsel tied it. Brozoski, with 25 points and five assists, was named game MVP.
