Our Lady of Mercy 38, St. John the Baptist 33: Sophomore Kassi Jata scored a career-high 10 points and had four steals for Our Lady of Mercy (1-0) in CHSAA. It's the first time the Mustangs have beaten St. John the Baptist since 2006. Marilyn Lehmuller's jumper gave OLMA a 33-31 lead with 3:28 remaining, and Jata's basket extended the lead to four a minute later. Chastity Byrd added eight points and three blocks, Shannon Brady had eight points and three assists, and Lehmuller had five points, eight rebounds and four steals.
