Dennis scored 53 points, breaking Mitch Kupchak's record of 52 points, according to assistant coach David Berger, in a 96-25 victory over Central Islip in Suffolk League I boys basketball on Tuesday. Kupchak went on to play 10 years in the NBA and is currently the GM of the Charlotte Hornets. Josh Ramos added 11 assists for Brentwood (12-3).
