East Rockaway 4, Wheatley 2: Chris Deptulski had a two-run single in the third to put fourth-seed East Rockaway ahead 3-0 in their game one victory over (1) Wheatley in the first round of the Class B playoffs. Patrick Kelly's solo home run in the sixth inning gave the Rocks a 4-1 lead. Damian Amiruddin pitched a complete game, allowed two runs, struck out six, and walked one. Game two of the best-of-three series is 4:30pm Tuesday at East Rockaway.
