Hewlett 2, Mineola 1: R.P Moriano entered the game in the seventh inning and got out of a bases-loaded, no-out jam to earn the save in (15) Hewlett's Class A first round win over (7) Mineola. Alex Messados' fielder's choice scored Josh Pincus in the sixth inning to give the Bulldogs a 2-1 lead. Pincus went 2-for-3 with two singles and a run. Aaron Kadosh pitched six innings, allowed one run on three hits, struck out four, walked four, and earned the win. Hewlett (10-10) will face (10) Lynbrook 4:30 Tuesday at Lynbrook.
