Delio, in his first start since pitching a perfect game in which he struck out all 21 batters last Wednesday, carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning. The righthander allowed a one-out RBI single up the middle. Deli had walked the leadoff batter, who came around to score. He lost the perfect game bid with a walk in the third inning. Austin Topel went 4-for-4 with a homer and eight RBIs. "The feeling, watching it, is indescribable and you're just hoping he can pound through and do it again," coach Brian Krummenacker said of Delio, who threw 77 pitches. "Even though it wasn't a perfect game, having him following it up with a no-hitter would've been incredible. But what he's done is still amazing. The kid has given up one hit in two starts."
