Connetquot 5, Half Hollow Hills West 4: Joe Silverstein's bases loaded walk plated starter Brian McKean in the bottom of the seventh inning during No. 8 Connetquot's (17-9) walk-off victory over No. 9 Half Hollow Hills West (18-7) in the Suffolk Class AA Loser's Bracket Final. McKean allowed three runs on seven hits, with four walks and five strikeouts, while going 2-for-3, with an RBI and a run. Luke Stampfl and starter Sal Lovaglio went back-to-back in the home run department to highlight the Colts' (18-7) three-run fourth inning. Stampfl went 2-for-3, with two solo homers. Connetquot will play at No. 2 Ward Melville (18-5) in the county final at 4 p.m. Friday. A win gives the Patriots the county title and a win gives the Thunderbirds a chance to claim the title in a winner-take-all ballgame at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ward Melville.
