Pierson/Bridgehampton 9, Port Jefferson 4: Pierson/Bridgehampton won its second consecutive Suffolk C Championship as Tim Markowski went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI, and Forrest Loesch went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs in a game continued from yesterday against No. 3 Port Jefferson. The game, suspended because of rain, was resumed in the top of the fourth inning. Jake Bennett started the game yesterday and pitched three hit-less innings, allowing one walk with two strikeouts. Nick Kruel picked up the win, pitching four innings in relief. Pierson/Bridgehampton (21-1) will play Friends Academy for the Long Island C Championship on Monday, 4 p.m., at Farmingdale State College.
