Clarke 6, Island Trees 5: Jesse Russo hit a two-run triple in the fifth to break a 1-1 tie as No. 3 Clarke (20-5) beat No. 15 Island Trees (16-10) in Game 2 to sweep a Nassau class A semifinal series. Sean Dunn came in to earn the save, entering the game with two outs in the seventh with a runner on second. Louis Mele hit two home runs for Island Trees, including one that cut the score to 6-5 in the sixth. Clarke will play the winner of No. 9 Seaford/No. 13 Plainedge in the best-of-three championship series, beginning Monday.
