Ward Melville 4, Kings Park 1: Andrew Schelberg's pinch-hit, two-out, two-run single in the sixth inning gave (2) Ward Melville a 4-0 lead over (10) Kings Park in the second round of the Class AA playoffs. Joe Flynn's solo home run in the second broke a scoreless tie. Flynn went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored. Anthony Kay pitched a three-hitter and struck out 11. It is the senior's 20th double digit strikeout game of his career. Ward Melville (16-5) will play the winner of (11) Longwood/(3)Sachem East on Monday at 4pm.
