Smithtown East 7, West Islip 4: Nick Aurricchio escaped jams in the sixth and seventh innings to earn his fifth save as the Bulls clinched the Suffolk League III title. Matt Kelly hit a two-run homer during a six-run second for East (14-6). Dan Daley homered and had three hits for the host Lions (10-10), who needed the victory to qualify for the playoffs.
